Whitney Williams is a beautiful and joyful lady who works at Salem Nationalease. Whitney loves spending time with family, and friends, as well as collecting antiques that just need a little tender loving care and helping others battling cancer. On December 4th, 2012, just two weeks before her 27th birthday Whitney was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. She began the emotional and physical challenge of treatments at Novant Forsyth Medical Center’s Cancer Center two day after Christmas.

She under went four months of aggressive chemotherapy whit chemofollowed by a double mastectomy. A couple weeks after this surgery she was taken to the emergency room in severe pain and had to have her appendix removed. Once recovered and the breast reconstruction at the end of stage two she started radiation treatment. The day after her last radiation treatment she was again taken to the emergency room due to a ruptured cyst on her ovary. Finally she was able to have the final surgery and part three of the breast reconstruction process.

whitWhitney was declared cancer free on January 13th 2014 after getting result of a chest scan. After becoming cancer free she underwent the long process of recovering from cancer. Changing her lifestyle completely, she is now the healthiest and happiest she has ever been. She promised to get involved with the Triad Pink Heals as soon as she was able and she has followed through on that promise. After Sofie’s mom, Cindy, had to resign to focus on Sofie’s treatment, Whitney was voted in as the TPH Events Coordinator.

Whitney has an amazing story of faith, hope, struggle and miracles that she wants to share with the world. If you ever get the chance to meet this amazing woman you won’t be disappointed by the love she has to share. She embodies what our mission is all about….LOVE! In October of 2016, Chapter Founder Chuck Goins decided to “retire” as Chapter President passing the position onto Whitney Williams. She served as President for 2 years before passing the position back to Chuck in October of 2018. She is still a very active member in the organization. 

Whitney had a beautiful baby girl born in February 2020, shortly after she found out the cancer had returned. In March of 2020 Whitney was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer to her spine and ribs, she underwent radiation surgery and still battling.
