Toy Drive

Marshall David Baker lost his fight to cancer on November 4th of 2016, at age 17, after a courageous 8 month battle. Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Selena (pictured), mother, Carol, and father, David Baker, a police officer with the city of Winston-Salem. Marshall attended Center Grove Baptist Church and the staff at Brenner’s were touched by his faith and the impact he had on others there.

We wish to honor Marshall’s memory by helping the kids and families at Brenner’s still facing disease. These families are not always able have a wonderful Christmas as they face financial struggles. Many families lose income by doing what matters most, being with their children while they are in the hospital and needing care at home. On top of a loss of income, there are bills still having to be met, in addition to new medical bills.

Our mission is to help make Christmas memories at Brenner’s meaningful and joyous. By supporting the Child Life Department inside Brenner’s we are able to make this happen. Please help by purchasing new toys from the wish list below and dropping them by any of the donation locations sponsored by local businesses and their owners. The Child Life Department has expressed an extra need for tween and teen gifts on the Wish List.

We will be hosting a TPH Toy Drive in Memory of Marshall Baker event  on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 in the PDQ’s parking lot from 11am to 6pm. If you are unable to reach a donation location between November 11th and December 16th you can come donate directly at this event. All cash donations made for this event will go to purchase gift cards from the Wish List. Download the Wish List in PDF form by clicking HERE, for a Donation Location list in PDF form click HERE.
